Continuous window condensation can lead to the development of mould or mildew, so it is pertinent to clean your windows when condensation occurs.
You may notice that your windows are a bit streaky when you clean them, but there’s a way to curtail that.
Beth, who often posts about her journey as a mum on TikTok, has shared how she gets rid of condensation on her windows while keeping them squeaky clean.
“A little tip to help with condensation on your window this time of year if you don’t already know,” Beth said in the video.
She shared that all you need is dishwashing liquid and a cloth. Put a tiny bit of soap on the cloth, but not too much to where the windows go streaky. Wipe the window thoroughly, being sure to get the edges as well.

The Redditor recommended running an exhaust fan while cooking or showering if condensation is being built up on the kitchen or bathroom windows.
The fan should be one that exhausts outside, not one that circulates around the room. This will ensure that it pulls moisture out of the air. If you don’t have an exhaust fan, you can just crack open a window.
They said: “Open the window some when cooking; you’ll get some cold air coming in but it will have less humidity than what’s in the house.”
